Default New to me 72 sf20 I/o looking for info

Hey guys new member, just picked up 72 sf 20’ I/o reworked a little over the years has a 2011 Mercury 3.0, alpha one, poor deck job and some things that need fixing, just looking for opinions advice input or whatever anyone has to say especially if anyone knows anything about this particular boat, I know it can from Maryland and wasnon the eastern shore for the past 15 years.

I'm currently redoing mine, going back with a 3.0 Mercruiser set up. can you take pictures of the engine box for me? the one I have does not look original to the boat.

The engine box on the earlier models (pre 74) look more rounded like the one in the picture where as 74 latter have larger more squared off boxes.
