Ok, I went out and measured with a straight edge and the top of my A.V. plate is 4” above the bottom edge of the keel. My Hermco twin bracket is mounted 1.5” higher than recommended so the holes where my 300 are mounted would likely differ.

I did try running a 20” pitch Suzuki wheel but the boat hated it and was very unstable over 30 knots. I ended up with a 22” pitch Mercury Bravo 1 and it has been nothing but magic on my set up. Way more stern lift, better performance and way better handling all around. Suzuki props work fine on Transom installations but bracket installations need better props that can run higher near the surface. I also tried Powertech but my setup didn’t like them as well.
