Check every ground wire there is...
9 times out of 10 it is a bad ground connection !! I know it sucks to go through all the effort you put into it for a simple aggravating issue.... It has to be something simple for an intermittent problem.. It will get better, don't give up..

Turns out the binnacle is most likely defective. It has a throttle position misalignment issue that is causing the motor to think it is in gear. Hope to have her back tomorrow...

Final analysis was bad neutral safety switch. Repaired and heading out this morning!
