Casey,
As far as I know all manufactures use the same color code
Blue = Up, Green = Down
Blue sky up
Green grass down

Try to run a hot lead (jumper wire) to the up..... Blue

If the DC motor runs going down, it has to run going up with a jumper wire...

The solenoid /relay connection has to be the culprit..
