I used thermolite. It’s like coosa. I’ll never put wood in my boat again (except for teak as decorative materials).

Termites are an issue here.

Bugs won’t eat
Less water absorbent
Lighter
Stronger
Works like wood.

It’s worth the difference from plywood. I’d also consider the sea cast stuff. Some guys here have had good results.
Make sure you check out the cog thread it’s very helpful.

I don’t know much about the MA but I ultimately decided not to mess with mine too much. These seacraft were made right back in the day. I kept most stuff factory. I moved my batts forward. Installing trim tabs and a lifting prop. Should keep my ride pretty close to factory.
