I have a '75 23' cc. It has the original full front door console. The console at the bottom is 52" fore to aft, including the door which protrudes 3". From the front of the door to the vertical step is 38". Hope this helps, if I didn't give you enough information let me know and I'll try again.

I have a 73 23 cc I redid a few yrs back with a 300 etec and stainless Marine bracket I pushed the console as far forward as I could just allowing the front lid to clear helps offset the weight transfer of the bracket

Wrote a previous reply, but it didn't post.
thanks for the help. From what I can tell just about all the stock consoles seem to be set just in front of that front deck hatch aft of the casting deck. I had a small console with a seat, and the seat met that hatch. I've seen the bigger consoles with the big door and they seem to be set with the door just in front of that hatch - about 39-40 inches off the step. I'm going to put mine about there since I think it makes the most sense for COG, and I need the space in back. It's just going to be tight in front of that step once I put a cooler seat in front |
