Our 23' has non-working 40 year old Bennett hydraulic tabs, and it seems like the pump is shot. The switch is antique too, thinking about going new and switching to electric - anyone with hands on experience care to share their opinion? Boat lives on a trailer most of the time and fresh water washed after use. Thanks!

The Bolts are legit! Simple to wire as well!

I'm going to guess that even though the boat is kept on trailer you probably have it close to the water and the salt air. I would check the wiring and maybe get a new switch before writing off the pump. My joystick control was shot and the wire connections corroded. I got the toggle /paddle switches and replaced the wire harness and still had to solder wires, but the tabs are still hanging in there.

I hear what you're saying Bump, but the tabs haven't worked since I bought the boat over 10 years ago, and the troubleshooting I've done so far hasn't raised a peep out of the pump. The boat actually runs pretty well without them, but I'm thinking I can probably keep it on plane at slower speeds with them, and give me some trimming options on bumpy days. I was thinking about reusing the tabs themselves, but installing a new rocker control switch with the position indicator LEDs and getting the Bolt electric actuators.
