Nice find! Glad to see one rescued. A few rebuild threads here. Check all your bulkheads, transom, and under the boat fuel tanks. Make sure to take thorough pics even of what you think is “trash” it may be very helpful down the road…this is my biggest regret.

What’s the serial number and data on capacity plate? That will help us decode some data.

I’m in same situation with HIN. Mine was made mid72 but is registered as a ‘73 in Hawaii with a state issued HIN. No HIN on stern as per law but such is life. I’m getting a stainless plate made and adding to my boat.

My hull has a HIN plate

In hopes to go through her more thoroughly in the coming weeks when removing the massive inline 6 diesel and Penta outdrive.

Everything looked extremely dry and mostly rot free from what I can see though hatches.

Once motor is out and drive is off I plan to go through and document thoroughly + give her a good clean to see whats what.

I'm impressed with how well she's been preserved considering its been on the hard outdoors for 31+ years.

These pics don't do her justice but wanted to share pics of the condition when rescued.

Wow. A pressure washer will do wonders for you. It brings back memories for me seeing yours.

Here’s what I meant.

25cio means 25’ console Inboard/Outboard, 25037 tells you it’s 25’ #37 made that sticker should be up by steering wheel. Mine was really faded but use a piece of paper and pencil you’ll get it off.
