Very unique. Never seen a 20' SeaCraft inboard before. Noticed it doesn't have a hull pocket drive, so must be an aftermarket retrofit. Looks good though. Any performance info you can share? Cruise speed, WOT speed, fuel burn rates?

I never heard of one either. All brochures say 20' was available in either Stern Drive or OB. The 23' was different. What is your Hull Number? That will tell was it either a Master Angler or Superfish.

This SeaCraft was purchased at an estate sale in'06 and I was told it was originally a stern drive.
It had a new 350 crate engine (2 barrel) which I replaced with a 5.0 MPI (fuel injected) in 2016 I will get the hull number etc when I return to Essex, NY later this month. Andrew |

Back in the early 80's when I managed Waterway Marina, I took in trade and resold a '76 20' SF that had been converted from sterndrive to inboard. It was powered with a 350ci/260 hp Mercruiser motor under a console taken from a Robalo. (it still said Robalo on it). The keel at the stern had been cut flat about 6' forward of the transom. I remember it had a very small diameter propeller, maybe 12 inches or so. I took it out a couple of times and it rode VERY flat and was a really wet boat in any kind of chop at all. It was, however very, very quick to plane off and then topped out at about 38 mph.

20' SeaCraft - CC - inboard - Potter Hull
I.m back in Essex, NY and can show this SeaCraft.
Still not sure which model this boat is/was. This Seacraft was built in '73 and was originally powered by a 4 cylinder stern drive. Where is he hull id on older SeaCrafts? Thanks - Andrew |
