Default Digging swales

Well the city of Ft Lauderdale is spending money digging our swales for drainage to prevent flooding . It would be nice if they did it in areas that do flood. Right now there taking the 10’ wide swale and leaving a 12” deep gully in the middle after leaving 2’ level next to the road and sidewalk.(so you get about a 12” drop in the remaining 6’) I normally put the boat and trailer in the swale before I go out the next day as I store t else where. Will be interesting to see how bad the roll will be pulling off the road and onto the swale tomorrow. Told there Forman about it and he’s working with me as much as he can but—- .Looked the next street over and it looks like they dug war trenches and other areas look like small bomb pits that must be 18” deep . I hope the city plans on mowing there creations
