I can buy a new Horizon 600 windlass for $650. Is it a good price ?

Great price if shipping charges are under 50.00. I dont believe youll find one cheaper then that even on sale.

The cheapest I've seen a Horizon 600 (not freefall) is about $800.00. Sounds like a good deal. Don't forget you'll need ISO chain and some pretty heavy cable to power it factored into the installation price. I also added a pivoting bow roller ($150.00) when I installed my Quick windlass to make sure I didnt have to get up on the bow to kick off the anchor.

Thx guys for the input. I will check on the price of the line and chain. I just thought that the Horizon 400 might be marginal in power so I wanted the next higher one. A friend of a friend is in the industry and has one for me.
