Default ride comparsion 20 vs 23

saw a post earlier about ride of a 18 ft to a 23 ft seacraft got me to wondering if its true what the post said... having not rode in the 18ft or 23 ft boats only in the 20ft. if ride is different or was this just a one man's opinion...or whats the difference in the hull of 18s.---20s----and 23s other than length...can a few of you help clear my thinking....thanks

Model year would not affect ride since the hull design has remained the same all along.

I posted the 18-23 ride. I used to own a 23 and I'll tell you the ride is awesome. The 20 does not have the dramtic vee as the 23 does. Specs give the 20 a 16 degree deadriase while the 23 is a 20 degree. You owe it to yourself to ride in a 23, but BEWARE, you may have the desire for a larger boat. I scaled down to the 18

Barnaby's right, there's no comparison ,the 23 is a Cadilac, the original 20's just another boat. The later 20 M.A is somewhere in between. The weight of the 23 has a lot to do with the ride.

"...the original 20's just another boat. The later 20 M.A is somewhere in between..."

-Would you care to elaborate on why having a 3" lip above the rub rail makes the 20MA a better ride than the standard 20'? - the hull is identical below that feature...

Ikan, good point. Maybe that 3" lip makes the M.A. a little dryer, thus the perception of a better ride.
