Re: found a tsunami
Do your homework and find out what similar boats are going for. I think they're a few for sale on traderonline and yachtworld.com.

Re: found a tsunami
Todd,
I am fairly new to SeaCrafts myself. I have the same year Tsunami that I am re-building. The bottomline is that it's an old boat and could need a lot of work ( or very little ! ). Any boat that old would be suspect...It really depends on how well she had been taken care of - this is probably an unknown - so assume the worst ( sorry I'm a realist/pessimist ). The fact that she sat for so long means that it might be tougher to tell where she is, or was wet. The transoms on the boats are always suspect. The decks too. I would either do the best inspection you can w/ a poly hammer - sounding off the transom and deck - check the bows deck too to see for delamination. Rock the pedestal seats and see if there is any movement in the floor. Don't be gentle. It's better to know now then later. Or, if $ isn't tight - I would have a marine surveyor take a look for a few $. Try and low ball 'cause no matter what you are going to spend $ to get her right. Good luck. You cannot beat the hull. It's designed and built really well. It's just that over time and a little lack of TLC - ANY boat will slowly fall apart. It's just that a S.C. is worth bringing back where other boats are not. Good luck. - Alan |
