Capt. Skip
Bennett makes hydraulic lifts for that application. I would check that out so you dont screw up the back trying to get that thing open... I believe you can even use your existing hydraulic unit (if you have Bennett tabs) to operate this one......naturally you would only have the tabs working while underway and the hatch rams working while at the dock.... Tabman is this true??? http://www.bennetttrimtabs.com/hatchlift.htm Scott [ March 27, 2002, 11:48 AM: Message edited by: Scott ] |

Skip, I would use nothing but some heavy Stainless hinges on that console. I believe Contender uses an electric lift on the front of there cosole on the 25'. Those lift the front forward and up for access to the inside of the console. I'm not to sure but I think the new 25 Seacraft has something similar to open up the fron of its console. Maybe one of those unit could be adapted to raise your console. By the way, I'll be down in Sebatian Inlet, Fl starting tomorrow and all of next week doing a little fishing and R&R. So if you shout, I'll talk back next week when I get back.
