I thought we were past that Potter / CSK bit and still had room in our hearts for Ottracker...
That HellsBay does look nice but it isn't the V.D.Hull as was mentioned... VD Hull - I like that. Sharp as a well-worn marble I am

Those that are unfortunate enough to know me know that I have had several 70's SeaCrafts. However, I have an appreciation for SeaVee, Whitewater, Yellowfin, and a whole host of other designs that I find attractive.
There have been numerous posts on this very website over the past year about, or in referrence to, other builders. Whether it be to discuss the similarity of lines, the inferiority of, or any number of other aspects to a different brand of boat than SeaCraft. I personally had not seen that particular collection of images on the Cape Sable 21', as they are different from the images used in their current catalog (Yes, I lowered myself to having a copy of the Hells Bay catalog! ). As such, I found it interesting to browse through the site that was linked to that post. Am I going to go out and buy one? no.... nor do I feel that we should string up ianbeagle from the nearest available limb for a bit of attention diversion on an otherwise dull Tuesday morning. To those of you that find nice looking boats out there that have a website that you find interesting, send them to me directly if you no longer feel like posting them here. I'm still curious |

I appologize for my earlier post. I hearby retract it. It sure looked an advertizement to me. Sorry to ianbeagle for inappropriate comments.
I basically love all boats. My lesson of the day: don't post to a site right after your a**hole customer cancels a large order. Regards,

It sure is nice to see that CSC hasn't changed. Work has distracted me from my serious daytime CSC focus. It's good to back. A Seacraft is a Seacraft, superior to all others. Long live the debate on Potter/CSY/Tracker! Variable deadrise is the key.

Has someone overlayed the line drawings of the SC23 on the line drawings for the HB27? They are almost identical!!!!
Also, I saw somewhere that HB is now owned by a larger boat manufacturing outfit. With merc power and seacraft lines I am thinking HB's new owner may be JM. |
