Quick question... Do you know of anyone with the rails on their boat and how well they work... Worth the money?... I am redoing my 23' and was thinking of putting a set on mine... I had talked to the guy who sold the rails and said he would be willing to work out a little better deal for the web sites members... Thanks

I've been slack on progress pictures. Then my phototbucket account quit uploading them. Here goes something new.

These are the legs of the new hard top. Everything is just tack welded together for now.

The console has now been glassed into the boat.

Battery box underneath the roll up console seat.

Legs mounted to the top of the console.

Foam core hard top is fabricated.

The boat has looked like this for a while:

A lot of progress in the last couple of weeks.
The inside surfaces of the baitwell and all of the boxes were painted.

Taped and sprayed with non-skid.

Finally uncovered!

Time to start adding all the stuff back that was pre-installed earlier.

Trim Tabs.

Rub Rail and some of the pull-up cleats.

I finally pick up the 300 Suzuki in the morning!!!

Hey Bonefish,

once you hang your new 300 zuke, dont forget to post some performance numbers. I think there are a few members of CSC who are interested. I know I intend to repower mine in the next year or so. thanx in advance.. Boat looks real nice by the way!!

You're going to love the 300 Zuke. I got mine project finished back in Feb with about 115 hours on it so far and it rocks. My boat is not a Seacraft, but a 1973 23' Tsunami (Capt. Chuck can give more details on that boat). It is a foam filled tank, but it rides a little bit faster than the 23' Seacraft. I'm turning a 16"x20" Suzuki 3-blade prope. I posted numbers while I was breaking it in that are a little bit off. The guys that installed the engine didn't hook the multi function gauge up to my gps so my MPG readings were coming from the engine pitot pressure. I'm heading out again tomorrow and will keep a log and post my numbers with speed, rpms, gph and mgp(using gps speed). I can tell you that I cruise at 28 - 30mph @ 3750 rpms burning 8.74 gph = 3.20 - 3.43 MPG!

The paint is sprayed PPG with clear coat. The inside is color-matched to Awlgrip oyster white. I looked forever for a blue that I liked but couldn't really find it. Believe it or not, I ended up matching the color of a shirt I have hanging in my closet. A good friend has since nicknamed the color "See Me Bitch Blue"

Here are the numbers for my boat -
1973 23' Tsunami (Not the Seacraft Tsunami)
Fuel = 100 gallons
4 people on board
1-2 foot - pretty flat with a tiny bit of wind chop
wind 10 mph out of the west
Performance numbers on retun trip into wind
19.5 mph, 2350 rpms, 7.37 gph, 2.65 mpg
27.2 mph, 3500 rpms, 7.6 gph, 3.58 mpg
30.5 mph, 3750 rpms, 8.75 gph, 3.48 mpg
36.5 mph, 4350 rpms, 11.98 gph, 3.05 mpg
40.5 mph, 4900 rpms, 16.1 gph, 2.52 mpg
WOT 49.9 mph, 5800 rpms, 23.4 gph, 2.13 mpg

Hell of a nice job Bonefish! You're going to love the 300. What year/hull is yours? I'd like to hear how the 300 performs on your boat when you get'r all done.
