I can't speak for everyone but in my experience it was like going from riding in my old Jeep Cherokee (which had rear leaf springs) to any car with a modern independent suspension - just much more comfortable, less bounce, less sway. I'm sure someone can give a better explanation than I but I think it's similar to the difference between a solid axle vs. independent suspension in a car, meaning a wheel can go up and down on it's own with out affecting what the wheel on the opposite side is doing where as with a solid axle & leaf springs if one wheel goes up, the opposite wheel wants to go down and then the rocking ensues from there (only without the benefit of shock absorbers in teh case of a trailer.

i love roller trailers for new england ramps you can launch and retrieve in just enough water to float the boat bunks do support better unless you get enough rollers and it can be tough to get off the trailer in shallow water with bunks

just out of curiosity, if no one minds of course, what did some of you pay for your new trailers for your 23's?
im wondering because i found a 23 but i cant tell how the trailer is from the pictures. i wanted to try to use it as a bargaining tool. thanks in advance.

Six years ago I bought a bunk style venture trailer for a little more than $3k. 4 years ago I bought a roller style for a little more money (but it is a better trailer)

thanks for the replies with the price. i ended up not getting the boat. he wants 4k for it and its about 10 hours from me. i couldnt commit to buying it without seeing it. i would hate to take a 10 hour drive to decide i didnt want it. he wouldnt budge on the price either. so the search continues. unless a hull and aluminum trailer are worth 4k? boat does need work and i have no idea about the shape of the trailer.

Ditto on the 2" hitch ball and surge brakes.....SS disc brakes on all four wheels.

Hey Mr. Reelescape, received my boat cover Friday, spent a couple of hours doing the initial adjustments, seems like a pretty good value to me. Thanks again for the info. Seeya
