Re: TSUNAMI PICTURES
fred that boat was 4 doors down from my mom for about a year. i saw him remove the vents and lil other stuff in that time but no real work was done while it was sitting in his fron yard. i looked at the boat al the time and wonder if he was ever going to do some thing with it.

Re:Tsunami pictures
Hi Bryan,
that is what I love about this site...!!! I know the owner said he just lost interest and wanted to get rid of it...I met with him on several occassions and I could tell he really doesnt want to part with it...I advertised in CL for a wanted Tsunami/Sceptre boat and he responded, so he never advertised boat directly. he is a super nice guy... will post new pics once I get it home and tear into it -Fred

Got The Tsunami home
Yes that was me ..I had to sell the Seafari and donor boat due to the fact that a Tsunami is what I have been working towards..my dream boat.I am going to keep this boat for my son to enjoy... in lets say 16 years from now!
I just got the Tsunami home and took all afternoon to inventory parts etc..all teak is there and has been redone...all new rodholders..new dash panels..guages..prop..shaft..set of cushions..thru hulls etc.etc. First thing on my list is to get engine running in this Tank. Here are some more pictures..I apoligize for not resizing them....!!!!! After I got it home I took the wife and my son to the Saint Lucie County Fair..(before inventory)....works both ways!!! here are some pics of the fair..the darned llama spat on met..but I spat right back...with my skoal!!!! (5th time this year a llama has done that..think I would have learned my lesson!!! WHAT THE HELL!!!!

Re: Got The Tsunami home
Nice Tsunami. Keep us up to date on the redo...
Curious to see pics of the stern and the inboard hull cut out above the prop. That is a rare power option for Tsunami/Sceptre. What engine is that, a 351 Ford or 454 or 350 Chevy version of Mercruser? What HP?? VERY cool project!!!

Re: Got The Tsunami home
Cool thred!
I'm glad you got your dream boat. The Tsunami has a great layout. I dont know if you remember but a year or so ago there was one that was for sale up in the north east that was yellow and had a diesel. The engine was jack shafted so the engine box was in the center of the deck like yours. The boat also had a killer hard top. If you could copy that boat you would be styling. I've had a few llamas spit at me also and usually right before they spit you can hear them start to hack it up...thats when it's time to get out of the way! Did you hit it when yo spat back? Re: Got The Tsunami home
Jim..I am pretty sure it is a 350 GM block with omc risers.(sort of pieced together)..from other members on this site and other help on other discussion boards. I have to check paperwork..which is a ton!!! to see if I can find any additional information..and identifying #s on block etc here is a shot of the stern..reminds me of Strick's twenty with the nice arch in the transom!!!!
Plenty of work to do..but again just want to get it running!! Strick...several of my friends are veterinarians..like you...and I ride along with them some weekends...not as frequent now!!!.and after a long stint in my other gov position(too long for my taste..think I still have repurcussions of PTSD!!) ...I finally utilized part of my education and made lateral move into government agricultural appraising... so plenty of exposure...plus the guys I deal with are good people..and I can pick up side work building pole bldgs etc for them...so I feel at home. -Fred

Re: Got The Tsunami home
Yah, Ken,
When the sand paper wears out on one, you can wear it out some more on the other!!!! Half seriously, if you guys could co-ordinate on the colors, you could probably reduce the work by setting up spraying/painting with one set up/clean up, etc.

Re: Got The Tsunami home
yeah fred that boat was on andrews street for a while. i always looked at it and wondered if he was going to sell it or finish it. then one day it was just gone so i figured he moved. glad to see it moved to your house. on a side note i have a question? was seacraft sued over the design of the jackshafted hull. my dad seems to remeber seacraft getting sued cause the hull was a infringment on someone elses design. dont mean to hijack thread just wondering.
