And we have a winner!!! 100% confirmation on the Barcone 21. Not a SeaCraft, but still a worthy project. Initial investment was $300 for boat and trailer.

You can definitely tell that Barry got some inspiration from Potter...maybe they were cousins.

My buddy had one with a 175 on the back. He loved it. We did find the gas tank foamed in and it leaked an filled all the foam with fuel. He cut the console off and cut the floor out under console for access. He also cut the rear of the deck and did a transom to 25".

Most likely a Barcone, but just to throw monkey wrench in the works, Angler also made this same hull for one year only after they bought the Continental molds; I think it was '78 or '79. (Edit: The Angler hull was made in '82)

Continental also made a 21' cuddy version of the Seafari 20' on top of this hull. Without looking closely at the VDH hull, even SeaCraft enthusiasts have been fooled by that one.

I had a 1978 deep vee continental 21 cc a long time back. It was a very good riding hull. Lot of bow flare and was dry riding. Floor had soft spots and I started to work on it when I found my first seacraft hull. Aborted the 21 and started on the seacraft. If I didn't stumble on a $300 sc hull I may of still have the continental today. I wouldn't be afraid to build it. It may not have the seacraft ride or near as high as a resale but it will make a good boat never the less.

Definitely a Barcone. I had the same one. I loved the boat. I did a total restore. I wish I still had it. Everyone thought it was a Seacraft until I told them it wasn't or they saw the bottom.

Thanks for the encouragement. I plan to give it my best. My goal is to fix it up just enough for a new life in Nassau. It seems a good layout for snorkeling and bottom fishing. Based on its similarities to the SeaCraft 20 Center Console, I am considering the 140 Suzuki four stroke for power.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen one and been fooled. From the waterline up they are very similar. Still a cool little boat. Keep us posted on your progress!
