This was followed by a fun smoked fish, cheese and beer party; guess that was before releasing 'em gained popularity. In 1961 as a teenager I went with my Dad & his cronies on a charter boat out of Ft. Pierce where we boated 8 sails. That sounds glutinous now, but when there were so many fish, folks didn't consider conservation.

The little boy, my son is 37 now, lives in Manhattan, and still visits when he can to enjoy "Neat-Sea" with us.

Default Lee runs inshore outta Englewood now.

Thats where I live would be great to have a chat w/him. What a great story and pic. Yep you never know what will show up on the end of a line.

I had a bump in the night experience years ago with one of my closest friends. Left Stump at about 3 am and had the ob hit not one but over six times what I now believe to be turtles going in for nesting. At the time it was a bit spooky.

Decided to take the kids out one nice summer day in the early 80's for a boat ride in my 17 Mako. I took a few small spinning rods and decided to troll some.
I caught my first sail and decided to keep it to smoke.
I didn't want to just throw the rest away and I decided to try a head mount. I cleaned out all the meaty areas I could, injected it with formaldehyde, then set the head in resin and coated it several times. Got eye from local taxidermist and after I finished it he painted it for me. So I've had the mount for 30 plus years and its hanging on the wall on the back porch near the pool.

Default Family Times

Hi Ron- Enjoyed your photos. Yes, those family times on ones SeaCraft are long lasting memories! Our son was 6 months old on his first trip rolling around in the Seafari cuddy.. I made a net so we could leave the door open and he couldn't roll out. Later there were two playing in there when we trolled offshore, kept them out of the hooks!

Best wishes to our Florida friends on Hermine. Also enjoy the soiree; we won't make this one. We've been out of town so much want to boat here in SC where Sept is the best lake month of the year.
