Fr Frank convinced me and I am very happy with mine. Same prop for 10 years running in an estuary. Great stern lift and excellent trim authority.

The plastic thickness on mine is 5/8-3/4", so it adds about an inch below the skeg, and some skeg thickness. Mine nearly touches the skeg tip. |

I use a permatrim, helped with porpoise and low speed planing. It is metal and pretty sturdy, came recommended built in NZ i think
