Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Southerner?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.
The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife
and two small children.
Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife
comes around the corner, locks eyes with you,
screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the
knife, and charges at you.
You are carrying a Kimber 1911 cal 45 ACP, and you are an expert shot.
You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What
do you do?
................................ ...... ........ ............

THINK CAREFULLY AND THEN SCROLL DOWN:

Democrat's Answer:!
Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire
him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock
the knife out of his hand?
What does the law say about this situation?
Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind
of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be
content just to just wound me?
If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my
family get away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call 9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?
We need to raise taxes, have paint and weed day and
make thi! s happi er, healthier street that would
discourage such behavior.
This is all so confusing! I need to debate this wit h
some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.

.................................................. .................................................. .......

Republican's Answer:

BANG!
.................................................. .................................................. ....
Southerner's Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! Click..... (Sounds of reloading)
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
BANG! Click
Daughter: "Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or Hollow Points?"
Son: "Can I shoot the next one!"
Wife: "You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist & hang it on MY wall!"

hav nice day, sam

I don’t need your test, little or otherwise, to decide. BTW your test is a red herring.

For the record, I’m an American of the constitutional United States of America type American, from the Great state of Alabama. I fear that there are not enough true Americans in America. How about you are you a true American or do you identify yourself as Democrat, Republican, or Southerner.

During the spring of 68 I was prepared and in position to drop any soviet, eastern bloc, of other threat to the United States of America, therefore, I can say unequivocally today, tonight, or at any other time I can and will drop any threat to my family or country.

However, I do see the greed that consumes “America” and believe in time, unless people change, the world will revisit 1789 once again. If I am around when this happens I will gladly help load the cart for transport.

Retirement plans compared...

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have $16.50 left of the original $1000.

With WorldCom, you would have less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Delta Airlines stock you would have $49.00 left.

If you had purchased United Airlines, you would have nothing left.

But ... if you had purchased $1000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for recycling, you would have $214.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle. (Go green!)

This is called the 401-Keg Plan.

Thank you for the welcome. I prefer to study seacraft boats and learn about boat repairs on this great site as to slinging incorrect political crap into the fan. Ken, I don’t know about “classic”, however, we do have a 73 Tsunami w/twin 74 Johnrude 135’s and have had it since we picked it up new @ Bob’s Boats and Motors just west of today’s Hwy 436 and Hwy 50 intersection. Back then they were Semoran Blvd and East Colonial Dr respectively. I think I remember Bob using Lake Barton for testing the boats. Trailered it to Titusville and put in @ 406 and then followed the spoil islands north to home. It was less than $45.00 for 98 gal of Amoco, 2 gal of BIA oil and snacks. Sorry about the grammar part, but back in the bronze age my english teachers had us (students) correct each other’s (students) work and then they (teachers) would correct us one and all. Bad habits are hard to amend.

If you live on an unpaved road in the hammock I am really closer than you know.

If they really need bailed out, why did we see 2 days of large gains in the markets when the only accomplishment with the plan was bipartisan bickering? Remember the markets were going to crash last monday morning if nothing was done last weekend! Where do the markets stand today as compared to 2 weeks ago? I believe they're up.

Met a lady yesterday who with her husband invested 50K in WaMu stock. Had savings and checking there also. Their checking and savings are fine. Their 50K was lost overnight. Still doing her job with a smile. Amazing grace.

Beer is a good way to diversify. Many different styles and flavors. And around here you can always get your nickel back at the recycling center.

And in these troubled times when we are forced to tighten our belts for the sake of a better tomorrow, choose firearms that shoot straight with smallish yet powerful loads as lead and copper are still commodities which must be efficiently utilized and not be taken for granted. Like the fellow in the Ghillie suit said, "one shot, one kill" -- be mindful of that as you unload your repeating arms... Sam, you too...
