Default New Love

Picked her up this weekend after doing a test drive on Lake Meade. She is a 1975 23cc with a rebuilt 91 250 yamaha and a 2002 15hp merc 4 stroke. Up until this weekend I had never been on a Seacraft. She drives wonderful.. full of power... and the little kicker pushes her at 7MPH with the GPS. I am the third owner and I honestly dont think this boat has been in the water more then 20 times. I know that it sat in Arizona for 16 years from the original owner un-used. The guy that I bought it from (2nd owner) only took it out 4 times to Mexico after he put the new machinery on her. The transom and deck are rock solid and the only thing that is wrong with her are small things like chips in the Gel coat faded hardware etc.. I'm soooo excited about this boat as now I can chase Tuna!! She has the large consel and the gas tank has been inspected and pressure tested and everything is fine. No gas smell in the bilge. I plan on doing a lot to her to ger her looking like the new ones. I wanted to thank this listerative for all the help given to me so far. This web site is a valuable resource for anyone interested in these great boats.

Strick,
Congrats on the purchase, you're gonna love it. Is this boat yellow? I saw one exactly like it on Boat Trader a week ago.

Thanks guys I'm stoked these boats look much larger in person then they do in the pictures! I have a buddy that bought a new 23 foot Scout a year ago and this boat looks bigger. It's a battle ship as one of my buddies put it.

Scott- yes it's yellow.. it was the one in Arizona
Marc-- Listerative is a fancy word for group consultation I.. I think

I'll post some pics as soon as I get a chance...maybe this weekend. Hope all you guys on the east coast are in a safe place before the hurricane hits.

Congratulations Strick. I can't wait to see the pictures. I'm new to this site and just recently convinced myself I need a new project. I've sent you a PM.
