Default first time owner

Hey, my dad and I just got a 73 20' potter hull. I am looking for advise on care and rigging this boat for fishing. The previous owner used it as a fun boat. I am looking to purchase a tee top. what do you think off mounting outriggers from the top or should I use gunnel mounts. what concerns should I have about this hull. The boat has a 98 175 Johnson. My buddy has a 20' classic that is a great ridding boat, will the potter hull be comparable? Like I said this is our first "real" boat and any info will probably be useful to us. thank you
