Default Has any delt with this company?

Marine Town

They seem to have some great SS products but I can not reach them via phone. The # is disconnected. I am a bit wary of purchasing online when their # is disconnected. Hmmmmm

Don't blame you. Real good way to lose money. If you have any more info on them, try a search on the internet. I went to West Marine yesterday to order another C clamp for a Fishing Buddy fishfinder that I bought from them about 18 mos. ago, and they said they never heard of the company. They were made by Bottom Line, but apparently merged with Canon, and is now going under the name of Computrol, Inc. They still make Bottom Line fish finders, and I was able to order the clamp. Point is, the Co. you're looking for may have merged, or been bought out, or for some reason going under another name. If the prices are right, might be worth the search.

Actually I did find the Scandvik cockpit drain. It is @ Defender Industries do a seach for "scandvik" and it comes up.

That Stainless company I asked about seems to have gone belly up as their page no longer opens.

Man that rots, they had the coolest cast stainless pop up fuel fill. Real cool. They also had great prices on stainless thru hulls. Oh well, the old saying is true. It was too good to be true

I will use stainless steel above and below the waterline. If I were not concerned with looks I would go with Bronze.

And when I saw "below" the waterline I just mean on the bottom of the transom.

I will actually use a bronze thru hull with strainer for a wash down/ live well feed.

Hey Guys, please read the following link from the boating board, especially if you leave your boat in the water as I do, apparently solid stainless is subject to failure if used below the waterline. I dont think this would be a problem with most of you guys as most trailer but it is good to know!!!!Chrome plated brass is the way to go (for me anyways)Craig

I have changed my mind, and will use bronze under the water line. Anyone know why SS "suddenly" corrodes?
