Re: Why so few 21s?
MC - around 79-80 or so the 20 went from 19'8" to 20'5" or so. I've seen some call the 19 a 21 for sales purposes but the current 21 was not one of the older boats - nice though... Like a baby 23.

If you are interested in a restored 20 seacraft with a new outboard, I have one for sale in Plymouth. Email me at epontiff1@babson.edu for the details and pictures. Eric [ November 05, 2003, 07:27 PM: Message edited by: EP ] |

Why so few 21s?
Why aren't there many 21s here on the board? Is the 21 called a 20 by some folks because it's actually 20'5" LOA? I'm looking to buy an older 21 and am having trouble finding info on the 21s in general but then began thinking maybe I was missing something. I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction to find some info on the 21 footers.

Re: Why so few 21s?
Mooncusser,
Welcome to the board. What's known as the 21 has only been built since the mid/late-90's. All others are referred to as 20 footers. The LOA of the 20 is 19'6", whereas the 21 is 20'5" as you mention. If you're looking for an older SC, search under 20 and you'll find a fair amount available. Be prepared to pay the "New England premium" if bought locally! |
