Default Very Interesting

I checked the Server Statistics for the site today and almost fell off my chair!!!.

This site has some insane traffic on average days 6000 to 7000 hits (per day) but it skyrocketed today to reaching over 12,000 hits (in one day). Oh my, we have created a monster!!

The strangest thing is none of the hits came from a search engine or the like rather all referalls so I wanted to thank everyone for spreading the word... because it worked. good greif 12,000? Hehehe.

Any suggestions for additions or new forum sections? This site is just as much yours as it is mine so if you have any suggestions fire away.

I really want to put the SeaCraft time history line together but still do not know who owned the firm after 1979 to 1987?? was it CSY, the sailboat company?

Thanks again all

Jason

My prediction; 25,000 hits per day by 5/15. Can you handle the traffic? Mark my words, this site is going to be HUGE!!!!!

You can count on me for at least a few hits/day. Now if I can ever figure out my new digital camera, I'll be posting some pics too.

Trayder - unfortunately, most web stat packages can be a bit screwy while manipulating the 'puter reporting languages ...

Example, my 2 site stats packages never quite agree on true hits and page views and unique visitors. So far for April, one tells me that I'm averaging 28770 hits/day 13514/files 780/pages 347/unique visitors and that I've x-fered 1.4GB so far this month. Now the other says I've had less "hits", more files, less pages, and more visitors with 1.7GB of xfer in the last 7 days. Gets pretty confusing. Unfortunately, the good webstat software I've seen is $$ and requires code in each page which can get pretty tough on dynamic forums...

Probably the best 3 stats to track for how the site is growing is pages/visits/bandwidth as each hit means every tiny image/files/script/and smiley...

If you find a good package - let me know

The time-line idea should close the deal on how unique this site is. Great ideas on the transom fish boxes!
