Hello to all
I finally found something of use on this silly box!
As you might guess, I'm not much with computers but I'm learning.
I own a 74 20' center console. Bought her a few months ago. I'll be giving her a complete resto this winter and am looking forward to all the help available here.
Without getting too nasty, I'll say that the previous owner didn't take very good care of her.(Sheetrock screws to attach a transom mtd transducer?!?!?!?! Are you allright?) And that's one of the lesser offenses!
Well as my sister said, "Now she has a new owner that'll love and treat her right."
A few items on the long list of planned improvements are; new deck (already cut the old one out), new 25" transom, plumbing the forward fish box and aft livewell, custom livewell/leaning post similar to what Parkers use (yes I fish alot of live bait), below deck fuel cell, below deck battery box, bow mounted trolling motor, West System, Awlgrip, T-top (gotta protect my "fair complexion"-ha!),storage,storage,and more storage.
And the list goes on.
I look forward to and welcome any and all comments and suggestions.
Tightlines,
Bob

Welcome aboard and best of luck, I know my sister Alli, also a subscriber to this list, is doing exactly the same as you with her 18 so you two should stay in touch.

Bob,
I'm in Hull, so we're pretty close together. Anything I can help you with, let me know. The guys on this board really know their stuff, so if you get stumped, don't hesitate to ask.

Hooked - welcome to C-S... I'm in Rhody now but I'm originally from the South Shore too...

So which models do you locals have?

Thanks,

John

John,
We've got a 1982 23' Sceptre. I know you've been looking long and hard for a 20' or 23', any leads or prospects?

Scott - I may need to check out your boat some day

I was closer before but I'm waiting for my wife to get a job (a good one) and my boat fund has been slowly diminishing since then. So it's frustrating but it may not be a fall/winter purchase but winter/spring. What really irks me as there are some deals out there. But hey, priorities

You're not the guy working back & forth between Hangman's, Sunken Ledge, & Quarr Rocks with Charlie M, eh?

Thanks...
