I'm thinking Doghouse
Well, if you check out my 23 you can see that it is lacking in the T-top category.I've been debating what I really want to do.I don't really need the sunshade like a lot of you guys down south. But shelter from the wind and rain would be nice esp. early and late in the season plus a place to stick some more rods.I saw a lot of Doghouses on CC's when I was up the Cape last weekend.Yesterday, I saw this pilothouse on a Maritime Skiff CC police boat. It had full curtains and looked pretty sharp.Let me know what you guys think, and a guess what MS would charge for it.www.mskiff.com/acc.html - click on pioneer pilot house.

Re: I'm thinking Doghouse
Hey BillyBob,
I hear ya on the doghouse debate. I've done some research and have found a couple of options. Nauset Marine in Orleans has a pretty sweet mold, the follow are pictures(kinda a hack waying of posting pictures but I think it will work): http://www.pixhost.com/pixs/squidrig/blueboat-1.jpg http://www.pixhost.com/pixs/squidrig/blueboat-2.jpg http://www.pixhost.com/pixs/squidrig/blueboat-3.jpg http://www.pixhost.com/pixs/squidrig/blueboat-4.jpg This is a local guy down in Chatham the setup is pretty sweet. The mold includes the console(not built around existing one). There is also a guy down in Westport MA, Roger Sartini, he builds Ros boats. He quoted me $1500 to build a doghouse around my existing console with the slanted front window, roof and two large side windows. The one from Nauset Marine is in the ballpark of $3000.

Re: I'm thinking Doghouse
The maritime skiff pilot house is somewhere around 2500-3000 dollars... I was going to buy one, built one for about 600 instead
