First off I would like to thank everyone esp. Trayder for the wealth of info on this site.
I am looking for an outboard flotation bracket. What are the best ones? |

Well the big ones ( more common) are the Armstrong and Stainless Marine (both Aluminum) and then there is the Seamark (Potter Fiberglass bracket) Do a search for Brackets and you’ll find a lot more info……. Here’s a couple of links to start with a focus on the Seamark bracket……Look at the main page of Classic SeaCraft under links and goto the Hermco site for more info / pictures

I personally liked the Armstrong over the Stainless marine because of the Positive floatation baffle. The SM doesnt have the V integrated in the bracket. At the time I installed mine I wasnt aware of the Hermco product,I would of research that ave. Though Im very satisfied with my Armstrong.RS.

Reel Smoker,
Could you explain the positive floatation baffle. I am going to look at a seacraft with a Stainless Marine bracket this week and would like to know what you don't like about them. Thanks, CMBarnes |

CM Barnes the Armstrong has a v on the underside of the bracket. The Stainless has like a box, iM NOT REALY SURE HOW FAR THE SM SITs TO MAKE IT A Posive floatation Bracket.
