Default Q for Finster or Suzuki owners

I have twin 115 4 stroke Suzuk's on my '78 23' CC. When I am at idle or around 1000 rpm's and I trim my motors, the rpm's fall about 100 or 200 while the motors are being trimmed. Does anyone else have this problem or is it built into the motors brain

Yeah, mine does that too. At first I thought it had problems, then desided to ignore it. It doesn't seem too effect anything or stall the motor, I guess that just they way they are.

I won't be a Suzuki owner until next week when they rig my new 140. The Merc 115 I had didn't last as long as I thought so a new 140 is on the way. Are you guys happy with your Suzukis? Everyone I talked to with one here in the last couple of weeks said they love them and the dealer is ten minutes from my house(at the boat ramp I use 90% of the time) and has repowered six 20' Seacrafts to date. I talked to one of the owners and they could not say enough good things about them and he had a 115 said it was plenty so I should love the 140. I hope I made the right decision It should be ready for the fouth. It will be nice to have an engine I can trust again!

Don't get me wrong, that the best outboard I've ever owned. Couldn't recomend anything other.

We do not see this problem with the Johnson 4 strokers which are the same engines just painted white. We have about 20 out there now. Sounds like your trim system is drawing down the ign. somehow. It may not be charging the way it should at idle. The only problem I can see is having a spark plug problem sooner then you should. I would call your dealer and ask them about it. I know if one of our customers had this problem with the Johnson 4 strokes we would tell them to bring it right in and see whats going on. We test run every engine we install to make sure the prop is right and have not have one do this.
