Do you really want an engine THAT quiet?
And think of all that Yamalube in the garage going to waste. Just doesn't seem right Sorry Otto, I don't know anything about them but couldn't really let another question about 4-strokes go by unmolested. I actually haven't bought a 4-stroke outboard in months |

Hi there , referring to the merc 4 stroke , my neighbor across the canal from me had one on his boat it spent a total of around 4 months or more at the dealer for several different issues. He ended up returning it for a yamaha and has not had a single problem yet . Theres a chance it was just a bad motor , drunk assembly line worker , or dealer error who knows?. But he is true believer in the yamaha now.
I support the 4 boat , 50 rod holder 4 chick theory, especialy since my girlfriend left me,> )

Hey,
Does anyone have experience with the Merc 115 4 stroke? I think I heard that they are made by someone else (Yamaha)? Any reliability experience out there? Thanks in advance.
