Re: 23' Inboard For sale
I'm moving from the Jupiter area to the Indian/Banana river area, and will live right on the Indian river. Looks like I'm giving up offshore fishing life to pursue inshore fishing in that area. The diving isn't as good up there, so I'll have no need for the 23 footer. I'll get a Hewes Bonefisher, or some such shallow draft boat.

HA WHITE HAWK
SORRY TO HERE THAT YOU ARE SELLING YOUR BOAT. BOY THAT WOULD BE A HARD DECISION FOR ME KIND LIKE PUTTING YOU FAITHFUL DOG TO SLEEP. I REMEMBER WHEN I HADE TO SELL MY 18’ HYDRASPORT TO MOVE TO THE 23’ ,ALTHOUGH I REALLY NEEDED A BIGGER BOAT TO FISH THE OUTSIDE I HAD 19 YEARS WITH THE 18’ AND DIDN’T WANT TO GIVE HER UP. I HERE THEY DO PRETTY GOOD UP THERE FOR SNAPPER, GROUPER, KINGS, AND THE LIKE BUT YOU GOT A LONG RUN TO GET TO SOME DEEPER WATER PLUS THE SKINNY WATER FISHING UP THERE IS GREAT. GOOD LUCK ON YOUR TRANSITION. FELLOW-SHIP |

Re: 23' Inboard For sale
Thanks Fellowship, the dog comparison is right on. It was a very difficult decision. I've had this boat for about 14 years and put a lot of money and sweat into it and it has given me some great times. But I'm moving because I've retired and am scaling down everything (except the wife). I changed from deep dropping over wrecks and such when I moved up here to kites and trolling. So I'm just changing again, evolving. Some guy will love this boat and I will slow down a little. Ben, how is your project going? I hope you were able to make some progress.

Re: 23' Inboard For sale
Wow you really got a lot done. Sounds like you are becoming a serious Seacraft restoration specialist. That list reflects a LOT OF WORK! You must have had a very busy summer. Good luck on the rest and let us all know how thigs are progressing.

Re: 23' Inboard For sale
What kind of cruise and top end do you get with the inboard? Are pics available?

Re: 23' Inboard For sale
I normally cruise at 2500 to 2800 RPM's which gets me 28 to 30 MPH. Top end is around 34 MPH. Not a real speedster, but I fish (troll) all day on $ 12.00 of gas. You trade blistering speed for economy and ease of maint. Email me and I can send pics at smitfyr@aol.com
