Default Ton of used fixer uppers

Gents-

I'm sure you all probably now this...but it seems like there are a ton of used Seacrafts currently for sale on traderonline, especially in Massachusetts. Instead of doing a search using seacraft as one word, do it using sea craft as two words. There are 3 projects boats at Cape Marine in Monument Beach and then there is a 1974 23 Tsunami for sale in Boston with new twin mercruisers for $13,500 which sounds like a hell of a deal to me. Is this someone's boat from the site?

I’ve looked at all the SeaCrafts Cape Marine has to offer. Personally, I think they’re overpriced.

I know nothing about the 23’ other than it’s been on the market a long time. http://www.yachtworld.com/listing/yw...USD&units=Feet

if those engines on that 23 are new in 2001/2002, that boat seems like a reasonable deal to me. I wonder how she is holding up structurally speaking.....Maybe I'll go check her out seeing that I live about 5 miles away!

Someone should make the guy an offer, especially if has been on the market for a long time. at this point, he probably take a couple of grand off, just to close the deal.

I might look at that Boston Scepter one of these days but that's an awfull lot of weight in the back.

Cape Marine is way overpriced. Look at that blak/DK Green they repainted with the twin 2000 Yami 200s - they want THIRTY SIX THOUSAND dollars for that puppt and it ain't even pretty. I think they had their Sea Pro franchise pulled and I've only seen them pushing used motors lately, nothing new. I don't know much specific about them but I would look REAL hard and find people that know first...

I second that, very pricy. Two of them are major PROJECT boats. The Scepter is very decent however, it just needs a new I/O and out drive steering and wiring. It is still pricy for almost $6500 for a hull and trailer. The CC with dog house is so rough that I walked past it the first time not noticing it, nice bracket though(rough I/O conversion), engine is junk over $8000 ? The Seafari has major transom damage, its TORN all along the inside of the transom, if you can over look that the rest of the boat isn't bad. The Scepter would be a good candidate for a new Mercuiser 4cyl. diesel you could fish for days on a tank of fuel. lucky for me I only have enough money to keep one afloat at a time.

Word is the '83 20 CC (hull only) they have for sale sank. Looks like a nice boat though, new decks, but for $6,500 I don't think so.

I knew you guys would have already have the scoop on all those boats.

Speaking of diesel 4cyl. Mercruisers....I should buy Mango, restore her back to new and put in a new 4cyl Mecruiser diesel. Mango would sip fuel with that engine in her.....

How much is a 4cyl Mercruiser Diesel? I think that gas version is around $3500 but not 100% sure.

Mercruiser came out with a compact diesel 4 last year, 120HP or something. You get major M_I_L_E_S per gallon on it too... (they say )

BTW - I looked up Cape Marine and they still sell new motors... They just advertise everything that's used

I found a price on the diesel in an ad from Kenyon boats in FL. RH 1.7L diesel with alpha drive $9500 . That will be my retirement engine when I will fish all day every day.
