Default Chatham area ramps

Can any of the Cape guys recommend a ramp in the Chatham area? I'll be down this Fri-Sun with a buddy's 20' Hydra-Sports CC. I checked the MA DFW site, but Saquatucket is the closest state ramp and we want to be closer than that if possible.

Scott where do you want to be in Nantucket sound or the Pleastant bay Chatham light area? A couple come to mind but I'm not sure where your destination is.

Jon,
Our destination is Monomoy, but if you have some "suggestions" I'd be open for them . Does Stage Harbor have a ramp?

There's a marina south of Chatham on 28 on the left side that I use. I can't remember the name, but I think it's in Harwich, I know it's before Dennis.

Give me a day or so and I'll find out from my cousin.

Nothing that I know of in Stage Harbor.

Scott-

There is a very small town ramp on a cove with a beach that is across the street from that private golf course in Chatham. A friend of mine has a summer house down there with a dock,a mooring and NO BOAT....and I took my old 20 Mako down there a couple of times. It takes about 15 minutes to get from the cove to the inlet that leads out to Nantucket sound. In a 20 Hydrasport....you'll have no problem getting out even though it can get very shallow in some spots on the way to the inlet.

I know exactly where it is just kinda hard to explain. I'll look on a map tonight.

By the way....both times I left my trailer locked up at the ramp overnight and no one said a thing. Nor did I pay a dime.

Jon,
Thanks for the info, I'll check my home email after work. You interested in coming along with us? I understand you're having engine trouble. Send me a PM with your phone # if interested.

Ed,
"There is a very small town ramp on a cove with a beach that is across the street from that private golf course in Chatham." Is this some type of code? Yeah, you know, the guy at the place with the thing? Seriously, any info you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Chris,
Thanks in advance for the info.

Scott - if you are looking to go to Monomoy, you should check out Saquatucket Municipal Marina (508) 430 7532. They have a nice ramp and will sell you overnight dockage if you want. They have a bathroom with showers too. You can get fuel right off the ramp. Not sure how much they will charge you to launch the boat (I usually stay there with the big boat). It is the same distance to Monomoy from Saquatucket as it is from Chatham.

The town is Harwhichport. You will be calling the Harwichport Harbormaster at the number above -talk to Tom.

Scott-

The place I go to in Chatham is very close to Ryder's Cove....dont know if the name of the ramp is Ryder's Cove or Stage Harbor though. All I know is it is located at a very small community beach. Once I find my map, I'll let you know the details.....and I promise it wont be in code.
