Default Hey Dink!

Hey Dink,

Just curious, does Raytheon employees get discounts on RayMarine stuff? I am assuming they are one/same, diff division?

Do not worry, i am not going to send you a list or resume

Also, last few weeks Raytheon has taken over the sizeable old Genuity building in Woburn/Wilmington.

still just curious .... - Nick

BTW: I am looking at the Raymarine SL72 versus the Furuno 1712 radar

I do get a small discount on Raytheon products, but I'm hearing this will be discontinued soon.
The 72 radar is a great product and I would recommend it highly. You may want to look into the new integrated display system, which allows you to connect the radar, GPS plotter and depth recorder all on one display.

Hey Dink,

My opinion is that the integrated displays are the way to go(love the chart overlay), but pricey. I have already invested in a Furuno GP1850WF, so i am just looking for basic collision avoidance and would allow some redundancy to get home safe.

Thanks Nick!
