Default 27 foot Seacraft

I am the purchaser of the seacraft 27 that was on Ebay. We have gotten the boat back here to Louisiana. The reputation for these Seacrafts are held in high esteem even here in bayou country. I would like to know if anyone has ever had a 27 footer with a walk around cabin or is this a one off boat? Is there a way to get in touch with Mr Potter? I was told that this boat was built for him. I am basicly trying to get as much info on this boat before we start any major refinishing. Any help on this project would be appreciated.

Robby,
Congratulations on your purchase. To answer your question, no, your 27 is not a one-off. Although I don't know exact production figures, there were other 27 walkaround inboards built in the 70's. As a matter of fact, there was one for sale in Long Island NY about a year ago. Unless someone has a phone number they can PM you, I believe the best way to contact Bill Potter is through Don Herman at HermCo, www.hermco.net .

Robby,

My dad owned a 27' walk around that we fished offshore many times. I do recall having a specs book on all sea crafts from 1979 and that boat was in it. The boat had twin gas inboards and a small tower. It has been eight or ten years since the boat was sold but if you have any questions I will try to answer them. You can contact me here or my e-mail@ powerpack645@yahoo.com

Robby:
I own a 27' flybridge SeaCraft, Mosley built in 1967. This boat is incredible. I have twin Mercruiser 200's (292 chevy truck, inline 6's). The boat only pushes about 26 mph cruise, however this is perfect for the journey. The configuration is to die for. Everyone (and I mean everybody) that sees this boat, totally loves it. There were only 25 built of the one I own. You can check out my pictures and if I can answer any questions, let me know. TKS wmarthur
