I am a bit frustrated in trying to gain access to the bilge through the small (8x12")bowmar hatch that's mounted in the motor well. Deck access is limited on my '85 due to the fact that in deck live well take up all the prime access space right up to the motor well.
I would be interested if anyone has come up with creative ways to gain better access to the rear part of the bilge. My creativity must have been sapped by the endless grinding and epoxy resin fumes I've been ingesting. Thanks Dink |

I put in two (2) 6 inch inspection plates in the splashwell. Works for me.

You must have long arms as its quite a ways from the splashwell to the bottom of the bilge. Dink |

3m 5200 and I used oval head screws with nylock nuts. And yes I have long arms. Its only about 20" from the bottom of my splashwell to where the pumps are mounted.
