Default 23 Straight Inboard

Hey guys,
I have a line on a 1983 23 with a straight inboard. This guy is looking to sell, after owning the boat since 1984 and using it for tuna fishing in CC bay. It has a crappy, SS T top, old radar, color FF, orginal engine that runs well, fighting chair. The hull is in very nice shape, just repainted (awlgrip), floor is a bit soft in 2 spots, but otherwise in good shape. It has a trailer that is fully functional, not too much rust, but probably could use some work. This guy is asking $18, which seems like a steal based on what I see with the boat and know about this model...Overall I would rate the condition as 8 out of 10, considering the age. It will be a great boat for someone lucky.

Any thoughts on the value of this boat? I do not think it is the right 23 for me (inboard), so if anyone is interested, drop me a note.

Peter

Where is the boat located? I am passively looking for a 23' inboard that needs some work. Is the motor fresh or salt water cooled?
Thanks,
Chris

Hey Chris,
The boat is in RI, and is saltwater cooled I believe, but not 100% sure. It really does not need much in the way of glass/paint restoration, maybe just some engine and system upgrades.
