Default HELP, reasonable price for 23 CC I/B

Can anyone give me a reasonable price range for an 1977 I/B 23 CC WITHOUT trailer or T Top - Hull in great conditionn with original gel coat, but othertwise boat in ok condition. Mercruiser FWC 2000, 260 HP motor approx 200 hrs? Except for motor, pretty much original equip and condition. Will need to replace seats and windshield, and buy trailer. Decks ok except for one removable section in front of console, transom ok. One coat of bottom paint, ever. Fresh water boat.

I would really like to buy this boat, but I think the Seller is asking too much. I need your help and expertise!

Thanks!

Back in 95- I got mine at auction for 6500$. No trailer, blown moter and transmission. Not great shape- after new motor and rebuilt tranny, some cosmetic work I was offered 20K before I even got it in the water.(I ended up at the time having 13K in it. ) Capn Skip had his for sale on here , even though its sold now I believe it went for mid-20's??? You can do a search on the for sale board. There are several inboard owners here on CSC, some boats a lot more "pristine" than others. good luck- let us know !!!!

The latest line I'm getting is anywhere from mid teens to about mid 20's for an outboard 23 in good shape, depending on the motor, but I'm not to up on the inboard market.

IMHO, the hull and console are worth $6,500 as Miles Offshore has indicated. The recent motor, installed and in good running order adds probably $4,000. So, $10,500. A 6,000 pound trailer is $3,500ish. A t-top, if you have PipeDreams do the work is another $3,500 plus installed. Add a gas tank for $800 and a bunch of other stuff to make it right you'll have almost $20,000 invested, plus labor. Not bad, really, but you'll have to work to get your money back.

Having said all that, what do you think it's worth? I'd rather pay $8,500... No, I'm not a marine surveyor, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night...

It is worth exactly how much you are willing to pay for it and that is based on how much you really want it. Since I am a succor for SeaCrafts I probably would pay more that it is really worth in any blue book. (Ketch the Dream)

Goodmorming, I have a 76IB and just repowered with a 350/315hp and I paid $13K when I bought it with no trailer but a new T-top. I would venture to say even without the trailer and a fairly new FWC motor somewhere in the $15K to $25K in the condition you are talking about would be ok. If you think it's to much send me a e-mail and I could get a friend of mine off my back (He' 6'8" 325Lb) and line him up with it.
