20 Potter..just entertaning. pos sell

I have a chance to pick up a 23 ft and If I go for it I will have to sell my 20 for 9,000. firm, What do you guys think about the price,,,,,DETAILS...20 Potter cc. 1970,With 99 evenrude 150 ,500 hrs. every thing in top cond. custom T-Top w elect box, rod holders ,out riggers. elect. fishfinder, loran , gps plotter. vhf, cd player, seatemp. new 42 gal stanless tank, gauges,new cables, etc etc. Fighting lady yellow orig gelcoat looks great,teak varnished deck box covers. Boat was never a project but I have had her for 18 years and up dated most evreything . The gelcoat is always kept polished and has some small normal cracks that only I see,,,Have trailor good for local use...lots of pepole tell me what a great looking craft she is in water, Get to the fishing grounds at 48 mph. Pat the 23 was my uncles who died this spring, I can buy it for 9,000 from a family member,, so if I want go for the 23 I must sell my 20 for the same price, as I cant swing the cash right now..just asking for input. from readers. Joe R.

JOE FROM READING YOUR POST IT IS MY OPINION THAT YOU HAVE PRICED THE BOAT TO SELL( QUICK SALE ),YOU HAVE A TURN KEY PACKAGE THAT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN REALLY WELL MAINTAINED. AS A CONSUMER ONE OF THE MOST ATTRACTIVE QUALITY'S OF YOUR PACKAGE IS THAT YOU HAVE HAD HER FOR OVER 18 YEARS, I THINK THAT WOULD PLAY A SIGNIFICANT ROLE IN THE MIND OF ANY BODY THINKING OF BUYING A BOAT. IF YOU DECIDE TO GO WITH IT GOOD LUCK ON THE SALE & ON THAT 23'. I MYSELF WAS ENTERTAINING THAT THOUGHT FOR SOME TIME, I FINALLY DECIDED TO STICK WITH MY 20CC.

I was just messing with you Joe [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] From what I saw last year your boat seemed to be very well taken care of and looked great.
I've been thinking of a 23 for a while and after riding in Finster Seavette last weekend it seems like the way to go. That boat was sweet. Otto ran off with the thong..., but it was still great.

Very nice boat. Clean and well mantained. I'd be interested if I could get someone to buy my aquasport.
9 g's seems like a great price in my opinion.

I sold my '77 SeaCraft 18' for $9K and it was equipped similarly (latest electronics, new trailer, '97 Yamy 130, t-top, etc). It sounds in the ballpark to me...

Thanks for your input guys It is a hard to even think of this deal. as I know what I have ,My 20 is like a part of my body. as I had her so long....I like to troll a lot. and would like to take 3 or 4 fisherman with me as I like to take non fishing friends. and also go out 30 miles or so for a better shot at tuna.ITS also a WORK THING, WIFE THING, MONEY THING, I think I will go out and drift the bay now for a few hours before work....Joe R.
