Project update:
I have not posted about my 23cc restoration project for some time so I thought I'd let you fellas know were I'm at. The boat is 85% compete. Here is a list of whats left to do: 1. Finish the wiring. All I have left there is to neaten things up and install a few fuses that go from the pos bus terminal to the switch panel. I'll put in a stero and speakers after the boat is in the water. 2. Install some hinges on the big hatch that is forward of the CC. The first set I put on was an abortion so I have to fill the holes and install new hinges. 3. Paint the bottom and put on a boot stripe. 4. finish and paint the drop in insert for the CC and finish the CC door. I will make a removable fiberglass seat for the CC door. 5. Make a new anchor storage locker hatch 6. sand and paint the inside of the two forward hatches. The boat is going into the shop on Wednesday so they can give the engine the once over and make sure that everything is working properly. Today I installed the transducer. Strick

Re: Project update:
Strick, looks great. How do you like those Lenco trin tabs? I've been leaning towards them myself.

Re: Project update:
Thanks guys. The Lencos came with the boat when I bought it. They are easy to install Just one wireing harness per tab and they work great. I dont really know a lot about trim tabs but I'm happy with these. I will post lots of pics when the project is complete. Also the boat is going back to the fabrication shop mid November for a new bow rail.It will be powdercoated off white like the tower.

Re: Project update:
Great job Strick! If the boat's not going to be in the water all the time I'd leave the bottom white and just put the boot stripe, it looks awesome the way it is now.

Re: Project update:
I'd love to keep the bottom white. Here in California you cannot buy white bottom paint because of all the BS regulations. Any ideas on what I can use for a white paint. I would like to keep the boat in the water for 2- maybe 3 months in the fall during the fall run. I may have to make a run to Reno just to get the white bottom paint. Here are a couple pice of the float test just before I brought the boat to the shop for the once over.

Strick
Pettit has new bottom paint in 24 Cool Vivid Colors, Including White! I'm sure one of them would match BTW: Stay away from the <font color="pink">"Flaming Pink"

Re: Project update:
Strick, she looks great, though I see a pretty good starboard list. Is that just from the motor cocked that way?
My Seavette has a simular list to it and it really doesn't matter which way the motor leans. I've always atributed it to the helm and batteries, but even then I'm not really sure.
