Being willing to drive out of one's area will nearly always expand your options.

I'm not afraid of driving to look at a good boat. I'm looking at something with good potential, I have seen a few that are just too far gone for me to restore.

What's your budget?

If your looking for the "needle in the haystack" cheap 23 IB, prepare to get in line. There are many like you in the northeast that have been looking for along time...

If you have 25K you should be able to find something. NJ has a bunch it seems.

Budget is not the issue (not that I'm going to spend extra money just to spend it), I'm just looking for a boat that's a good starting point. I will most likely be puting in a diesel etc...and upgrading the boat to the highest level. The end product will be something like the 23 on this board named Extreme. If there's a boat out there that has already been restored, I will certainly look at that as well.

riprunner,
Go to yachtworld.com and check out the 23 inboards for sale in NJ. There is quite a selection considering how few of these boats were built.
