Default rubrail ???

Hey guys. I was thinking... Is it possible to remove the rubber insert on a stock rub rail from a '75 Tsunami ( lately that name brings a sad thought ) and replace it with a stainless or aluminum insert ?

I just saw a picture of a 20' with a rubber rub rail and a with shiny insert - looked great.

Thx

I think you can make it work. With some rubrails you have the option of a rubber or stainless insert. I dont think it matters weather it is rigid, flexible of semi-rigid rubrail... I think you can put a stainless insert in any of those. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

One thing for sure. This cold weather will not make it easy.
The rail is more supple in the heat of summer and stiff in the winter.
