Anyone know of a good leaning post for my 1984 23' footer?
What size Leaning post is good for my 23?

I don't know if I would go any wider than a 38" on a 23' -

the birdstall mini looks good for the 23, does anyone currently have this one on their 23 footer? The 38 inch looks good

I'm pretty sure that Capt Chuck has the 38" on his 23'. I have the 32" on my 20' and it is perfect

I bought my leaning post from Quality Marine Fabricators in Pompano Beach. Exactly like the Birdsall,38", storage box, whale tail, 6 rod holders, removable back rest-$800 plus $100 shipping to Ct.

thanx MM- yes, its the original (38")- whatever extras you get if you decide too ensure you get the fold down foot rest, it is the best!!! i got the deeper box also. (19" i believe).also with the backrest in (someone asked earlier) the other two rodholders are still usable, i use the two in the backrest for long riggers and shorts i still keep in the gunnels.

I have the Birdsall mini on my SC 21- its excellent- I have the whaletale, rocket launchers, and the seat that opens to the storage box-also holds a nice size cooler under it- I believe a 72 qt. Do get the optional backrest too, although you lose 2 of the rod holders its still worth it.
