Default lower unti oil question

Kind of a stupid question but what type of lower unit oil would you reccomend for my 1999, 200 HP Yamaha salt water series (2 stroke)?? Just curious what people use..

Yamaha makes a lower unit oil you can buy in quarts and gallons I don’t know if any off the shelf lower unit oils are much different, but for me why worry about it just buy their stuff might cost you $2-3 extra per gallon. I do my lower unit oil every 100 hrs. I think that makes a difference. Plugs every 200 hrs. and water pump every 200 to 300 hrs. I add their gas additive one ounce per 10 gal. of gas. Flush the motor after every trip, spray the inside with corrosion blocker a couple of times a year and don’t run the boat much over 4000 rpms, and just use Yamalube with the gas. Works for me
