Default '85- 23' Seacraft

I have owned a 1972 potter built 20’-SF for many years and love the boat. I have been looking for a 23, and put a deposit on a 1985-23-SF today.

Question: I hear a lot of bad press about the mid ‘80’s boats, what should I look out for as far as problems.

Thank you!

1985 was a good year, these were built by SeaCraft Industries. There's nothing to look for pertaining to this particular model year, just look for the typical things a 20 year old boat would require.

I've got an 87' 23', and wouldn't trade it for anything!

I have an 89 SeaCraft 23WA w/200 hp OB, the only think I dislike about it is the big TRACKER label. Has been an excellent boat and I store it inside my pole barn when I am off the water.
