Drawings
Hello folks,
I'm new to this board. I built an 18'Simmons Sea Skiff for my own use in '94. It's a great inshore boat on Chesapeake Bay but I'm thinking about something a little bigger. Does anybody know if drawings are available for the 20' cc? I know old boats are available but I enjoy the building process. Thanks for any info. Colin

Welcome aboard ! Ya from around Cameron La.? Whew I remember those Pogy Boats ! Any way go to the HOME page & then go to reference link ~~~ Specifications & original SeaCraft patent links. These are the best drawings I've seen. Got any Theories ? Scream'n Reels' Tug [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img] Throw everything Ya got at these Guy's ! You can always do a search for some good ol' post from yesteryear !

Are you asking about the 20' Simmons or the 20' SeaCraft? I have drawings for the Simmons 20 footer.

Thanks for the responses. I'm interested in drawings for the 20 ft. Sea Craft. I have drawings for the 20 ft. Simmons. The Simmons boats are wonderful, but wet and hard riding because they are so flat fwd. I have a couple friends that have built Simmons 20ftrs. Both of them added reverse chines fwd, which really helps knock the spray down. The patent application drawings for the Sea Craft are interesting but they may be sort of generic instead of specific to a particular boat. Capt. Brad, I've never spent any time in La. but a friend of mine from Charleston named my boat Pogy. I did have some family down in Key West back in the 50's and 60s . Baltimore is home now. I know one person in my area that has an old 20 that he plans to restore. Based on what I've learned from this forum, I imagine that it was built by Potter. I haven't seen it yet but I should be able to check deadrise angles and such against the published stuff. My goal with this project (if it actually becomes a project) is to build one boat, for my self, out of plywood, and epoxy which can be tough stiff and light when its done right.
