Default Resin

I am using resin by Bondo along with MEKP and it is geling up very quick on me . I have tried using less hardner with no luck up to the point where I used such a small amount that it would not gel or harden.
The resin is about 3 years old and stays in my garage which is not climat controlled. I have used it before but never had it gell up like this.
Could it just be old Resin?

I don't keep poly resin too long because it can get funky.Epoxy resin like west can be stored and even if it gets lumpy you can heat it up to a clarity and still use it. In any case a freeze or getting too hopt can make it hard to work with. One time I had a gallon of West or system2 I don't remember, but it was in a five gallon bucket and left out in the rain. The lid was loose and the water froze. I took it into the house and thawed it. Then I poured out the water and heated it up to the point that the water eveaporated. I used that epoxy for a few years and finnised it all.
Once the polyester resin gets thick I don't think you can save it.

Try to stay away from Bondo, It will absorb water.
Dura glass would be the better choice.
Any good paint shop should carry it.

It's not the Bondo I think you are thinking of that you would patch a car with. It is Resin that you use for fiberglass.

I also agree that it is too old. I try to keep my resin cool and out of sunlight, and it might last about a year. If you can't find a local supplier, try MERTONS FIBERGLASS. Joe Merton is a nice guy, and he has sold to a bunch of CSC guys in the past.
