Default Panama City ? need some info.

Is anyone familiar with the area?
My son is going down there for spring break first week of March. He likes to fish, and is wondering if it is worth bringing some gear.
A college kid isn't gonna spring for a charter, so I was wondering if there is any good shore access in the area, what might be running, what methods and tackle would be best.
Any specific info would be appreciated.
Thanks guys,

Bill

Well I must say he must be a VERY, VERY, VERY committed fishermen to think about fishing on Spring break with all those Bikini’s walking around. He has far more self control and discipline than I ever did at that time in life.

Dad, let him trailer the SeaCraft to Panama City.
The boy will have fun chasing both kinds of "tail"
